Juror B-29, identified only as “Maddy”, the sole minority juror from the controversial George Zimmerman trial, broke her silence this morning during an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America.
Accompanied by her attorney, David Chico, Maddy stated that “George Zimmerman got away with murder, but you can’t get away from God. And at the end of the day, he’s going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with.”
She and juror B-37, who appeared in the shadows on CNN’s Anderson Cooper, thus far are the only jurors who have come forward.
The names of the jurors have not been made public. Zimmerman’s defense attorneys have asked Circuit Judge Debra Nelson to extend that anonymity for six months. However, lawyers representing media outlets have opposed the idea, arguing that in order to assure trials remain an open and public process juror names should not be kept secret.
