Earlier this month actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry announced that they would not be proceeding with another season of their reality show “Tia and Tamera” for the Style Network. Though Tamera initially told Twitter followers that she and her sister were ready to live their lives behind the TV cameras, it turns out that there’s a little bit more to the story.
“What a lot of people don’t know is that it was almost 50/50,” Tia told Essence. “The Style Network turned into Esquire. That left my sister and I with the question, should we continue the show?”
After much deliberation, the sisters decided not to proceed with the show.
The two had conversation about whether they could pitch the show to other networks and that was when the sisters decided to draw the line and say ‘We’re done!’ “We did three amazing years.”
Having cameras in your home 12 months a year for 8 to 12 hours a day is a lot of work and it seems like they will not miss having those reality TV cameras around all of the time. The two are moving on to other things.
The ladies say their husbands weren’t too thrilled about having cameras around all of the time either. They seem very content with their decision.
Tamera says that she will carry on with her career in her new talk show The Real as well as in other projects she’s not allowed to disclose just yet. She added that her sister would also continue with her career in the entertainment business in her forthcoming show Instant Mom.
